NU rallies back to beat UE 3-2 in UAAP men's volleyball

National University (NU) bounced back from a previous loss to defeat the University of the East (UE) in a thrilling five-set match at the Mall of Asia Arena Saturday, March 1.

Despite momentarily losing their footing in the second set, NU regained its form and won the remaining sets by scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Dante Alinsunurin, NU's head coach, acknowledged that the team was still affected by their recent loss to Far Eastern University but showed resilience in this match.

Leo Ordiales led NU with 18 points on 13 attacks, four blocks, and one ace finish, while Michaelo Buddin contributed 16 points, nine receptions and five digs.

UE suffered its fourth consecutive loss and remains as the only winless team in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball tournament.

UST also won decisively against Adamson with a three-set sweep to improve their record to 3-1.
