NU Bulldogs win men's volleyball crown for fifth straight year

The National University Bulldogs clinched their fifth consecutive men's volleyball championship in Season 87 on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Coach Dante Alinsunurin dedicated this hard-fought victory to his late brother Mike, who passed away last week.

Despite facing a strong challenge from Far Eastern University, the Bulldogs secured their title in Game 3 after overcoming significant personal and physical challenges throughout the season.

Alinsunurin emphasized the emotional significance of the win, noting that it was particularly special given the adversities faced both inside and outside the court.

The victory marked a record-high crowd turnout of 14,517 spectators and secured a double gold for National University's volleyball program following an early title celebration for its women's team.
