NTF visits Bohol to boost senior citizen vaccinations

The National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 visited Bohol on Friday to boost vaccination efforts for senior citizens affected by Typhoon Odette.

Secretary Vivencio Dizon and Bohol Governor Arthur Yap met with local chief executives to discuss ways to increase the number of vaccinated elderly residents, suggesting incentives such as home visits.

NTF officials also expressed optimism that Central Visayas LGUs could transition to Alert Level 1 if they continue to ramp up inoculations for senior citizens during the 'Bida Tungo sa New Normal Roadshow'.

DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III encouraged LGUs to ensure decisive victory against the pandemic by reaching the target of vaccinating 19 million elderly Filipinos by the end of President Duterte's term.
