Gov’t negotiating 2022 booster vaccines

The government's negotiating team is working to acquire reformulated booster vaccines for 2022 to combat emerging coronavirus variants.

According to Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., they are in negotiations with four manufacturers and have initial deals with multilateral partners like the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

Galvez also mentioned that the NTF, local government units (LGUs), private sector, and provincial governors are preparing for additional vaccine procurement, including letters of intent to order future volumes.
