Zambo Sur receives 10K Sinovac doses for founding anniversary

Zamboanga del Sur received 10,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine on Thursday as a special gift for its 69th founding anniversary.

The vaccines will be distributed to Rural Health Units across the province to continue the vaccination rollout.

Gov. Victor Yu urged residents to get vaccinated and noted that Pfizer shots were administered Wednesday along with first and second doses of AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines.

Dr. Augusto Manolo Alpichi from DOH-Region 9 emphasized the importance of vaccinating senior citizens and those with comorbidities, noting that many in these priority groups are now fully vaccinated since the program's start last March.
