NTF: HK flights still allowed pending IATF ruling

The National Task Force Against COVID-19 clarified on Sunday that flights from Hong Kong are still allowed pending a decision by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Despite the detection of the Omicron variant in Hong Kong, the country is not included in the Philippines' list of countries with suspended inbound flights.

The NTF stated they are awaiting an official ruling from the IATF before making a final decision on whether to ban flights from Hong Kong.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, acting as the IATF and Malacañang spokesperson, confirmed that all inbound travelers will be subjected to Yellow List protocols until further notice.
