Philippines maintains Alert Level 2 until Dec. 15 amid Omicron concerns

The Philippines will maintain Alert Level 2 in Metro Manila and most other regions until December 15 due to concerns over the Omicron variant.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles announced that only Apayao is under Alert Level 3, while the rest of the country remains at Alert Level 2.

The government has also suspended its plan to allow fully vaccinated foreign tourists from green list countries to enter starting December 1 due to uncertainty about Omicron's impact.
