No casualties in Cagayan after Florita

No casualties were recorded in Cagayan following the passage of Severe Tropical Storm Florita on August 23.

Only three minor injuries due to fallen tree branches were reported.

Preemptive evacuations were conducted in 131 barangays, relocating 3,000 families or 9,000 individuals across 19 municipalities.

Relief goods are being distributed by local governments, with additional supplies from the provincial social welfare and development office awaiting distribution.
