Florita affects over 17K families

As of Friday, August 26, 2022, Severe Tropical Storm Florita has affected over 17,510 families or 71,468 individuals in various regions including Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Calabarzon, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and the National Capital Region.

Two fatalities have been confirmed, one each in Cagayan Valley and CAR, while three injuries are reported in Cagayan Valley. Reports of additional casualties in Bicol are still being verified.

On Wednesday, August 24, Florita had displaced around 1,344 families or 4,646 individuals from 60 barangays across Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera regions with about 956 families sheltered in 19 evacuation centers.

The NDRRMC reported three landslides and one vehicular accident in Region 1, two landslides in Region 5, six flooded areas, 20 subsided areas, and four receding areas across affected regions.
