NAIA sees 14% passenger increase during Holy Week

The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) reported smooth operations at the country's main airport during Holy Week with a 14% increase in passengers.

On Palm Sunday alone, over 150,000 passengers passed through NAIA, marking an 11.77% increase from last year.

Holy Monday and Tuesday saw continued growth with passenger counts of 142,560 and 140,407 respectively, representing a 14.52% and 9.65% rise over the same days in 2024.

NNIC President Ramon Ang acknowledged support from the DOTr and Bureau of Immigration for deploying additional officers during peak hours to maintain efficiency.

The Holy Week is projected to draw over 1.18 million passengers at NAIA, up 14% from last year's figures, with NNIC implementing measures to manage increased traffic smoothly.
