NegOr Covid-19 cases on downtrend

Confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Negros Oriental are on a downward trend.

Assistant Provincial Health Officer Dr. Liland Estacion noted that the highest number of positive cases before the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) was over 2,500, while today's count is 1,538.

Negros Oriental recorded 270 new recoveries from July 9-11, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,235 out of a caseload of 9,794 cases.

The province continues to struggle with active cases, totaling 1,385, and has seen 174 mortalities since last year.
