Echanis, NDFP peace consultant, found dead in QC

Activist and NDFP peace consultant Randall 'Randy' Echanis, 72, was found dead in Quezon City on Monday.

Echanis had gunshot wounds to his head and multiple stab wounds; police took his body from a funeral home and arrested a member of Anakpawis's paralegal team for obstruction of justice.

Anakpawis claims the killing is politically motivated due to Echanis' affiliations with communist groups.

Malacañang urged everyone to wait for the results of the police investigation before making accusations.
