NAIA sees 13% passenger surge during Holy Week

Passenger traffic at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) increased by 12.7%, reaching over 1.7 million travelers during Holy Week from April 13 to April 20, marking one of the busiest periods in recent years.

The total number of passengers passing through NAIA grew by 14.19% for domestic travel and 11.21% for international travel compared to the same period last year.

Domestic and international passenger traffic saw significant growth during Holy Week, with NNIC attributing the higher numbers and smoother operations to planning, investment, and teamwork among various agencies.

NAIA recorded an on-time performance of 83.28%, indicating efficient airport operations and faster turnaround for airlines.

NNIC continues to work with government stakeholders to upgrade NAIA facilities to meet growing demand and support long-term economic growth.
