DOLE distributes cash aid to over 300k Luzon workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has distributed PHP5,000 cash aid to over 300,000 workers affected by the lockdown in Luzon.

Formal sector workers received P1.097 billion while informal sector workers got P1.046 billion under the DOLE's coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Adjustment Program and TUPAD-Barangay ko, Bahay Ko program.

In Central Luzon alone, over 46,000 private sector workers received PHP231.84 million in aid.

DOLE-Western Visayas has provided PHP36 million to more than 7,000 displaced workers under the CAMP program.
