Gov releases P132B from realigned funds for COVID-19 response

The Philippine government has released P132 billion from realigned funds to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

This amount includes P100 billion for social amelioration, P1.5 billion for displaced workers' aid, and P30.82 billion for city and municipal assistance.

The total available funds are P189 billion from 2019 and 2020 budgets, as per President Duterte's third weekly report to Congress.

The government is still debating the size of an economic recovery package, with identified funding of P1.171 trillion for social amelioration measures and fiscal actions.
