UP's Millora-Brown helps clinch UAAP title with late free throws

Despite facing personal challenges, Quentin Millora-Brown helped the University of the Philippines' Fighting Maroons win their UAAP Season 87 men's basketball championship against La Salle on Sunday.

Millora-Brown had to return to the United States earlier in the season to mourn his grandfather's passing and missed a crucial game against La Salle, but returned for the final series.

In his final UAAP game, Millora-Brown scored decisive free throws with 11.3 seconds left, securing UP's second title in four years and their fourth overall, dedicating his performance to his late grandfather.

The emotional center calmly sank two pressure-packed foul shots after getting fouled by La Salle's Mike Phillips, making it a two-possession game that sealed the championship for UP.

Millora-Brown expressed excitement about future opportunities, including potentially playing for the national team but is taking things one day at a time.
