Drilon backs extension of GCQ in Metro Manila

Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon welcomed the extension of the general community quarantine (GCQ) in Metro Manila until June 30.

Drilon emphasized that the upward trend of COVID-19 cases necessitates this measure and urged the government to assess its 'three Ts' strategy—testing, tracing, and treatment—to identify any shortcomings.

Senators Vicente Sotto III and Sonny Angara also supported maintaining GCQ in Metro Manila and other areas with high infection rates beyond June 15.
