PBA stays confident about potential return despite GCQ extension

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) remains confident about potentially resuming its season later this year despite Metro Manila's extension of general community quarantine (GCQ).

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial expects Metro Manila to ease into less strict quarantine measures starting July.

Marcial noted that the increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases made the GCQ extension unsurprising, but the PBA remains optimistic about conditions improving soon.
