DOH flags NCR, 5 regions as 'high-risk' for COVID-19

On Tuesday, August 3, the Department of Health (DOH) flagged Metro Manila and five other regions due to a higher two-week growth rate of COVID-19 infections.

The DOH classified these areas as 'high-risk' based on their moderate two-week growth rate and high average daily attack rate (ADAR).

Metro Manila, Central Visayas, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Northern Mindanao were specifically mentioned with ADAR numbers above 7.

The DOH undersecretary also noted that Regions 1 and 2 have high-risk intensive care unit bed utilization.
