DOH: Delta variant detected in 13 of 17 regions

The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday that the Delta variant has been detected in 13 out of the 17 regions across the Philippines.

Local cases have been confirmed in Metro Manila, Cordillera region, Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, Region 4A, Region 5, Region 6, Region 7, Region 8, Region 9, Region 10, and Region 11.

Out of the total 450 Delta variant cases in the country, 355 are local, 69 are returning overseas Filipinos, and 26 are still being verified as either local or ROFs.

The DOH also noted that 35 confirmed Delta cases have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19; 17 received one dose; 83 are unvaccinated; and 315 cases are still undergoing verification.
