MECQ extended in NCR Plus until May 14

The more restrictive modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in the National Capital Region Plus (NCR Plus), which includes Metro Manila and provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal, will be implemented until May 14.

President Rodrigo Duterte announced this during a talk to the people on Wednesday.

Additionally, MECQ will also be extended in Qurino and Abra provinces, as well as the City of Santiago in Isabela for the entire month of May.

In contrast, GCQ (general community quarantine) will be implemented from May 1 to 31 in Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Batangas, Quezon, Tacloban City, Iligan City, Davao City, and Lanao del Sur.
