Ifugao placed under MECQ, Puerto Princesa under GCQ

The government has placed Ifugao province under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from May 1 to 14, while Puerto Princesa in Palawan will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) for the month of May.

Ifugao's MECQ status was requested by local officials due to rising COVID-19 cases. Other areas under MECQ include Metro Manila and nearby provinces like Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, City of Santiago in Isabela, Abra, and Quirino.
