DOH targets over 770K kids for measles, rubella and OPV vaccines in W. Visayas

The Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development targets to cover over 770,000 children aged zero to 59 months for measles, rubella, and oral polio vaccine supplemental immunization in February.

In Antique province alone, the Integrated Provincial Health Office aims to vaccinate over 123,000 children under five years old against measles and rubella as well as oral polio during the same month.

The immunizations will be conducted amid the threat of COVID-19, with health officials emphasizing the continuing threat these diseases pose to children's health.
