Cities allocate funds for Covid-19 vaccine purchase

Several cities in the Philippines have allocated budgets for purchasing coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines.

General Santos City has set aside PHP200 million, while Legazpi and Palayan Cities have each earmarked PHP200 million.

Cagayan de Oro City is considering setting aside between PHP300 million to PHP500 million for the vaccination program.

The cities are exploring options with accredited suppliers and coordinating with national government agencies like the Department of Health and Food and Drug Administration.
