Marcos orders DENR to speed up Oriental Mindoro oil spill clean-up

President Marcos has ordered the DENR to speed up clean-up efforts in Oriental Mindoro affected by the February 28 oil spill.

DENR Secretary Antonia Loyzaga is exploring the possibility of tapping participants from the ongoing Balikatan exercises for cleanup assistance.

The US Embassy will work with the DENR to deploy Balikatan exercise participants as part of cleanup and mitigation efforts.
