NDRRMC forms task force for Oriental Mindoro oil spill

An inter-agency task force was formed on March 3 to address the Oriental Mindoro oil spill.

The task force, led by Eugene Cabrera of the Office of Civil Defense MIMAROPA, includes agencies like the DENR, DILG, DOH, and PNP.

Teams are conducting shoreline assessments, deploying equipment to contain the spill, and performing coastal cleanup operations in affected municipalities.

Officials held an emergency meeting to discuss the situation and coordinate response efforts.
