Escamis scores 28 to lead Mapua past Perpetual

Clint Escamis led the Mapua Cardinals to a narrow 71-65 victory over the Perpetual Altas in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Sunday, September 15.

Escamis scored a career-high 28 points and contributed three steals, two assists, and one block, helping Mapua climb to second place with a 2-1 record after winning their last two games.

Marc Cuenco added 12 points, six assists, and a rebound for Mapua, while Jeco Bancale hit the decisive triple in the final minute of the game.

Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) secured their first win in the tournament by defeating Jose Rizal University (JRU) with a score of 97-92 on Sunday.

John Barba led LPU with a career-high 28 points, including five triples, while Vincent Cunanan added 20 points and five steals, and Mclaude Guadaño contributed 17 points in the crucial final quarter.
