Manila deploys MDRRMO team to Naga after Kristine

The Manila city government has deployed a 14-member disaster relief team from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) to Naga City to assist with recovery efforts following Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna coordinated directly with Naga City officials, deploying the MDRRMO team on Thursday night.

The team brought essential equipment including a mobile water filtration system, two rescue boats with outboard motors, two rescue trucks, and a transporter truck to aid in relief operations.

Mayor Lacuna expressed gratitude towards her MDRRMO employees for their assistance and assured Manileños that additional resources were available for any local needs caused by the storm.

She emphasized Manila's readiness to respond to emergencies and its capacity to support both local and regional disaster response efforts, even when deploying teams elsewhere.
