Naga City floods; Legacion and Robredo seek aid

Naga City in Camarines Sur is almost entirely flooded due to heavy rain and strong winds from Tropical Storm KristinePH.

Mayor Nelson Legacion and former Vice President Leni Robredo are urgently appealing for trucks, pump boats, and other resources to aid rescue operations as the city's floodwaters reach depths of three to six feet.

Rescue efforts are hampered by stalled vehicles and require specialized equipment like pump boats to evacuate families trapped in their homes, particularly in Barangay Triangulo and Barangay Tabuco.

Photos show parts of Barangay Del Rosario and other subdivisions inundated with water, with vehicles also submerged, while the Naga River has reached its critical level, exacerbating the flooding situation.

Robredo is reiterating her urgent plea for pump boats as many rescue trucks have become inoperable due to the floods, urging immediate assistance from those who can navigate the floodwaters.
