OCD deploys relief team to Naga City for STS Kristine recovery

The Office of Civil Defense has deployed its rapid deployment team to Naga City to manage the distribution of relief supplies following Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

According to OCD Administrator Ariel Nepomuceno, the team will oversee the delivery and distribution of essential items such as kitchen kits, shelter repair materials, food packs, medical supplies, and clean water from Villamor Air Base to Bicol International Airport.

Personnel from OCD regional offices have arrived in Naga City to support the operation by augmenting staff at the Emergency Operations Center and providing logistical assistance.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. provided financial aid of P80 million to the local governments of Albay and Naga City, with P50 million going to Acting Governor Glenda Ong-Bongao and P30 million to Mayor Nelson Legacion.

In addition to the financial support, the government is also sending additional medical personnel to assist in the affected areas.

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga dispatched 1,500 boxes of hygiene kits on Sunday to assist Bicol residents affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, airlifted by a Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft.
