Maasin City locks down five villages over rising COVID-19 cases

Maasin City placed five villages under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) on October 15 due to rising COVID-19 cases.

The lockdown restricts movement in Combado, Tagnipa, Tunga-tunga, Mantahan, and Asuncion until lifted by Mayor Nacional Mercado.

Residents are required to stay at home for their safety with a 24-hour movement restriction except during emergencies.

Previously, two communities were under lockdown from October 9 to 12 but the restrictions were extended indefinitely due to high daily case counts.
