LPA brings rain, storms in Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol; flash floods possible. Strong winds, rough seas in N Luzon, E Visayas.

A low pressure area (LPA) located west-southwest of Zamboanga City is expected to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and CALABARZON, according to PAGASA.

Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to heavy rains in these areas due to the LPA.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, while strong rainfall is possible until around Saturday (March 13) in affected regions.

Moderate to strong winds and rough seas will prevail over northern and eastern sections of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas; elsewhere, conditions will be lighter.

PAGASA advises caution during severe thunderstorms and warns residents against possible flash floods or landslides.
