LPA off Surigao to bring rains over Visayas, Mindanao

A low pressure area (LPA) off Surigao del Sur is expected to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao starting Sunday.

PAGASA warns that flash floods or landslides are possible due to moderate to heavy rains in Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga del Norte, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Masbate, and Sorsogon.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by easterlies or localized thunderstorms.

The LPA is expected to last for three days within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
