LPA may develop into Obet, PAGASA warns

A new Low Pressure Area (LPA) over the Philippine Sea may develop into Tropical Depression Obet within 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

The LPA is currently located east of extreme Northern Luzon and has a slim chance of becoming a tropical depression in the next day.

PAGASA warns that heavy rains are expected in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Cagayan, and Babuyan Islands due to a shear line, increasing risks of flooding and landslides.
