Marce exits PAR, intensifies into tropical storm

Tropical Depression Marce exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday morning and intensified into a tropical storm.

As of 10 am, Marce was located 1,400 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness up to 90 kph.

Marce is moving north-northeast at 15 km/h and is expected to transition into an extratropical low by Thursday.

A new low pressure area was spotted in Northern Samar but is likely to dissipate within 24 hours.

For Monday's forecast, Luzon will experience fair weather with isolated rains due to thunderstorms.
