Tropical Storm Leon exits PAR, enhances southwest monsoon

Tropical Storm Leon exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Thursday but continues to enhance the southwest monsoon.

Intermittent gusts are expected over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Mimaropa, and Western Visayas, while light to moderate rains with at times heavy downpours will prevail over Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

PAGASA warned of possible flooding and landslides during heavy or prolonged rainfall in susceptible areas.

Gale warnings are in effect for the western seaboards of Palawan (including Kalayaan Islands), Occidental Mindoro, Zambales, and Bataan due to rough seas.
