LPA Agaton dissipates but scattered rains persist

The low pressure area (LPA) formerly known as Tropical Depression Agaton dissipated on Wednesday morning.

Despite its dissipation, scattered rains are expected to affect Quezon, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Visayas throughout the day.

PAGASA warned of rough seas caused by Typhoon Malakas, which entered then quickly exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday, posing risks for most vessels in northern and eastern Luzon and eastern seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao.
