Agaton death toll climbs to 76, over 140K affected

As of Thursday morning, the death toll due to Tropical Depression Agaton has risen to 76 with most fatalities reported in Eastern Visayas.

The NDRRMC confirmed only one fatality but noted that validation is ongoing for other reports.

Additionally, 29 individuals are missing and eight people were injured.

At least 140,000 individuals were affected by the storm, with around 95,741 families displaced or in need of assistance.

Evacuation centers housed about 17,070 people as rivers overflowed and towns flooded across Visayas and Mindanao.
