Agaton death toll climbs to 133 in Eastern Visayas

As of Thursday, the death toll from Tropical Depression Agaton has reached 133 in Eastern Visayas.

Baybay City in Leyte reported 101 deaths, up from 48 earlier this week.

The regional police and CDRRMO also confirmed 32 additional fatalities in Abuyog town in Leyte and Motiong town in Samar.

In contrast, the NDRRMC reported a lower death toll of 72 as of Wednesday morning.

At least 27 people are still missing, primarily from Baybay City's Barangay Bunga.

The NDRRMC also noted that 105 people were injured, with 53 admitted to hospitals and 51 treated as outpatients.
