Filipinos from Wuhan symptom-free on quarantine day

Filipinos repatriated from Wuhan remained symptom-free on their first day of a 14-day quarantine at New Clark City, Tarlac.

The Department of Health (DOH) emphasized that none of the Filipinos had confirmed cases of nCoV infection and that the quarantine was part of public health protocol for those coming from an affected area.

On Sunday, February 9, the DFA repatriated 30 Filipinos who wished to return home amid the spread of nCoV in Wuhan.

Health Undersecretary Gerardo Bayugo assured there was no contamination during their deplaning at Clark Freeport and that all health protocols were followed.

The repatriation team delivered relief goods to Filipino residents in Wuhan before their departure, ensuring they had basic necessities for the journey.
