IATF to discuss repatriation of Pinoys on Japan cruise ship

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) will meet Friday afternoon to discuss the condition of over 500 Filipinos aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship docked in Japan, where 11 Filipinos have tested positive for the virus.

The DFA reported that as of Thursday, February 13, a total of 11 Filipinos on board the quarantined ship had tested positive for Covid-19, with six additional cases confirmed between February 10 and 11.

All affected Filipinos are now confined in various hospitals around Tokyo and are responding well to treatment. The DFA is in constant communication with them.
