Adamson Lady Falcons beat UE in straight sets

The Lady Falcons of Adamson University defeated the Lady Warriors of the University of East in straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-15, and 25-12 on Wednesday afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Shaina Nitura led AdU with a historic performance of 33 points over two games, including 18 against UE from 16 attacks, one block, and an ace, while also recording 11 digs and two receptions.

Adamson improved to a 2-1 record after their previous loss to De La Salle University on February 22, showing marked improvement under coach JP Yude's guidance who emphasized decision-making in pressured moments.

UE remained winless with a 0-3 record in the season, paced by Nessa Bangayan and KC Cepada who each scored 11 and 10 points respectively despite lengthy challenges at the end of sets.

Shaina Nitura, after her comeback debut against Ateneo where she reset the UAAP rookie record with 33 points, has shown maturity in handling losses and focusing on consistent performance as highlighted by her latest dominant display.

Backstopping Ms. Nitura were Frances Mordi and May Ann Nuique with 11 and nine points respectively, while UE struggled with only five excellent sets throughout the match.
