National University clinches twice-to-beat in UAAP

National University secured a significant victory over Adamson in the UAAP Season 87 women's basketball tournament on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Lady Bulldogs extended their unbeaten streak to 12 games and clinched a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final 4, putting them just two wins away from an elimination round sweep.

Ann Pingol led NU with 12 points and six rebounds, while Marga Villanueva contributed 10 points and Gypsey Canuto had nine points and six assists.

Coach Aris Dimaunahan emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and taking each game one at a time to achieve their goals.

Adamson's loss dropped them to an 8-4 record, two games behind second-place University of Santo Tomas.
