NU Lady Bulldogs beat UE Lady Warriors, improve to 4-0

The National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs extended their unbeaten start in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament by defeating the winless University of the East (UE) Lady Warriors, winning all three sets decisively.

Bella Belen led NU with 18 points and added eight excellent digs and six receptions, while Vange Alinsug contributed ten points to secure the victory.

Despite UE trying to extend the game and even leading in the third frame, 11-13, NU regained its footing and eventually secured their sweep with a final set score of 25-20.

Erin Pangilinan also chipped in eight points for NU, while Alyssa Solomon added six markers. KC Cepada and Nessa Bangayan each scored seven points for UE, but no Lady Warrior reached double digits.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to a perfect 4-0 record with their dominant performance, while the Lady Warriors fell to a 0-4 record.

Up next, NU will face Adamson on March 12 at Mall of Asia Arena, aiming to extend its winning streak, and UE takes on Far Eastern University on Wednesday at FilOil EcoOil Centre.
