Lady Bulldogs beat La Salle, aim for ninth vs UP

The National University Lady Bulldogs maintained their undefeated streak in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena with a decisive victory over La Salle Lady Spikers, winning 25-19, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-18.

Captain Vange Alinsug led a crucial 7-2 run in the third set that gave NU a 16-11 lead, which proved insurmountable for La Salle. Captain Bella Belen contributed significantly with 23 points from 17 attacks, four blocks, and two aces, alongside 17 excellent receptions.

Captain Alyssa Solomon supported the team with 19 points on 17 attacks, one block, and one ace, alongside five excellent digs and five excellent receptions. Alinsug scored 11 points on nine attacks, one block, and one ace with 13 excellent digs and five excellent receptions.

With another dominant performance, the Lady Bulldogs set their sights on their next match against University of the Philippines at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City Wednesday, March 26. NU aims to reaffirm its mastery over UP and secure its ninth straight win to remain the only unbeaten squad in the league.
