St. Benilde and Mapua win women's volleyball matches

College of St. Benilde and Mapua secured straight-set victories Friday in NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball, maintaining their positions within the top four.

St. Benilde defeated Lyceum of the Philippines University in three sets with scores of 25-16, 25-17, and 25-14, remaining at third place with a 5-1 record.

Mapua also triumphed over Jose Rizal University, winning 25-21, 25-22, and 25-15 to stay in fourth place with a 4-2 record.

Raissa Ricablanca led Mapua's offensive efforts with a match-high 19 points, while Freighanne Garcia and Alyana Ong contributed 11 points each.

In men's volleyball earlier on the same day, Mapua defeated Jose Rizal University in four sets to take sole possession of first place with an unblemished 6-0 record.
