DLSU beats UST 3-1 in UAAP men's volleyball, secures playoff spot

De La Salle University defeated University of Santo Tomas in their UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball elimination round match on Saturday.

The Green Spikers won the match with scores of 25-20, 25-27, 25-20, and 25-18 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

JM Ronquillo led De La Salle University with 21 points and two digs, while Noel Kampton contributed 18 points and nine receptions.

Despite leading in attack points, 60-59, UST's 27 errors compared to DLSU's 18 were crucial in the outcome of the match.

With their sixth straight win, De La Salle University forced a playoff for the last twice-to-beat bonus against defending champion National University. Next Saturday, they will face NU with a twice-to-beat advantage, while UST will play against Far Eastern University.
