La Salle rallies to defeat Adamson 3-1 in UAAP women's volleyball

La Salle overcame an early deficit to defeat Adamson in a dramatic match on Wednesday during the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball, securing a 17-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-22 victory.

Assistant coach Noel Orcullo emphasized that sticking to their battle-tested system was key for La Salle’s comeback after an initial slow start and their previous loss to National University.

Shevana Laput led with 24 points, including 22 attacks, while Julia Coronel contributed effectively on both offense and defense with 19 excellent sets.

Despite Adamson's strong opening set performance, injuries to Jyne Soreno and Angel Canino hampered their efforts as La Salle dominated the subsequent sets.

Thea Gagate added 12 points for La Salle, helping secure a crucial win that strengthens their position in the Final Four with identical 10-2 records alongside National University and University of Santo Tomas.
