De La Salle secures Final Four spot, eyes Ateneo this Sat

De La Salle University secured its spot in the UAAP men's basketball Season 87 Final Four after defeating Adamson University by 25 points on Saturday, and now aims to continue its winning streak against archrival Ateneo this upcoming Saturday.

Kevin Quiambao led De La Salle to victory with 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists, contributing to their ninth win in ten games.

Despite leading the team standings, Quiambao emphasized the need for improvement and involving his teammates more as they approach the semifinals.

Quiambao stated that his focus remains on team achievements rather than personal goals, highlighting the collective effort of the squad.

Head coach Topex Robinson has instilled a culture in the team to remain humble and hungry regardless of their position, treating each game as a championship match.

The upcoming match against Ateneo will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena, resuming after games were postponed due to severe tropical storm Kristine.
