Karding causes P154M agri damage, P72M infra loss in Aurora

Super Typhoon Karding caused P154 million worth of damage to agriculture and P72 million to infrastructure in Aurora province.

Rice suffered the most with P97.9 million in damages, followed by high-value crops (P45.8 million), fisheries (P35 million), corn (P4.09 million), and livestock (P315,900).

Infrastructure damage included 32 classrooms, a government building, and health facilities in Dingalan town.

A total of 594 houses were destroyed and 6,884 more were damaged across Dingalan, Casiguran, and San Luis.

Additionally, Karding destroyed 589 houses and 245 fishing boats specifically in Dingalan town.
